Long hair takes a lot of maintenance in order to keep it looking healthy and shiny. Proper hair care is the first step that you will need to take in order to create beautiful long hair styles. Proper hair care starts with a quality shampoo and condition. These products should not be too heavy as heavy shampoos and conditions can be difficult to rinse out of long hair, especially if you have thick hair as well. In addition to using a good shampoo and conditioner you will also need to use hair care products that address the type of hair that you have. If you have curly or wavy hair then you may also want to use a curl enhancer and definer. If you are trying for a straight hair style then you may want to add a hair straightener to your hair care regime.

If you plan on attending a special event then you will want to look for formal long hair styles that are appropriate for your face shape and the type of function that you will be attending. For weddings or spring formal events long spiral curls tied back, swept up, or left loose are all appropriate longer hair styles. If you have naturally straight hair then you may need to get a spiral perm in order to create the types of curls that you want.

People are obsessed with looking as young as possible for as long as possible! They want the fountain of youth! You can tell it is an obsession because there are so many different products on the market to help with anti-aging. It is a billion dollar business with new products and hyps being launched everyday. What works and what does not? If you are a woman then you are probably more concerned with your appearance than men.

Well saying that, men are obsessed with their appearance they just claim not to be. So even though this article is for women, men can benefit from it too.

There are so many different products on the market, how do you know which ones are actually effective? Many of the products are falsely advertised, claiming things that they can not deliver. So how can you find out which products live up to their claims? Well you need a source of accurate information so you can make informed decisions.

Anti-aging products are not cheap, you simply could not afford to try all of them. You have to be able to differentiate the products that work, from the products that are designed to separate you from your hard earned cash.

There are several different substances that have been proven to be effective treatments for your skin. The most effective substances are vitamin A derivatives, such as retinol A. If you feel your skin needs a lot of work then ask your doctor if he would offer you a prescription for a product that contains vitamin A.

You can of course buy some products containing retinol substitutes over the counter, these are only allowed to range up to a concentration of 1%. Normally the stronger the concentration, the stronger the treatment. The problem is a high concentration can cause the skin quite a lot of irritation and end up in a rash, so it is very important to carefully read the instructions.

The most important thing is to protect your skin from the sun. No matter how healthy you may think a sun tan is, it is actually very damaging to your skin. Your skin actually changes colour because it is already damaged. A suntan may appear to be healthy, but it certainly is not. Do not try to get a suntan at the expense of neglecting your skin.

Protect your skin using a high factor sunscreen all year round, use at least SPF 15. This will not only protect you from sun burns and damage which can cause skin cancer, but it should also stop your skin from aging prematurely and hold off the wrinkles.

The major cause of wrinkles is because your skin becomes too dry. If your skin becomes dry then small wrinkles can form and then gravity takes over and they just get bigger, more defined, and deeper, it is therefore important to ensure you keep your skin is well moisturised.
